Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether a CGHS wellness centre has been set up in Darbhanga Parliamentary Constituency and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the CGHS wellness centre at Darbhanga does not have a hospital with modern facilities and a diagnostic centre;

(c) if so, whether the Government proposes to include such a hospital and diagnostic centre under CGHS wellness centre Darbhanga; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

ANSWER

(a): Yes. CGHS has taken over a Postal Dispensary in Darbhanga on 01.04.2019 on as-is where-is basis.

(b): CGHS wellness centre at Darbhanga does not have a hospital and a diagnostic centre. CGHS Wellness Centers are set up for providing primary healthcare to beneficiaries.

(c) & (d): Presently, there is no such proposal under consideration. However, CGHS beneficiaries can avail secondary and tertiary treatment/ hospitalization at Government Hospitals/ CGHS empanelled private hospitals anywhere in the country.
